Somebody picked it up within just a few hours though!

Sabine I don't think I remember seeing one ounce of trash anywhere in Germany! That was quite a while back of course, but it sure was nicer than here in that regard.

Weldergirl, maybe this boat was over there but lost its anchor and drifted here... Well if it were closer to the creek I might actually believe that! It's unreal what all washes down here in the spring.

Pablo I'm afraid it's beyond repair... I don't think there is even a bottom to it. Sorry! I would have loved for you to have it. I can recommend a paddleboat though! We got one from my inlaws, and hubby uses it to paddle to the middle of the pond sometimes.

Eva, if it were in better shape I might paint that on it LOL.

FC you are too funny!

Rachel, it's in one of the few areas here with a few pine trees. It's pretty shady but I have thought about putting flowers in there. (The problem is that there would be no way to water them. So it would have to be something native, but even that would have to be watered at first...)Ruralityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06616461213179182660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10013142.post-1138758626357368582006-01-31T19:50:00.000-06:002006-01-31T19:50:00.000-06:00It looks pretty there in the woods. In front of a house was an old boat, and somebody had painted the name U.S.S. Minnow on it. I could use one for scattering Bentonite on my "lake" and might drive down there to fetch this boat if you're willing to sell it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10013142.post-1138724698893246472006-01-31T10:24:00.000-06:002006-01-31T10:24:00.000-06:00Part of the land i have actually used to be a lake...Part of the land i have actually used to be a lake (man-made). I might have told you that. Anyway, I've been expecting to see something like a boat but so far all we have found has been an anchor. And of course, what was left of the dam and overflow pipe which came in real handy for driveway culverts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10013142.post-1138722660457466042006-01-31T09:51:00.000-06:002006-01-31T09:51:00.000-06:00It's frustrating and strangely comforting at the s...It's frustrating and strangely comforting at the same time to see this proof that polluters exist in every corner of the world.Sabinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04109308819436355957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10013142.post-1138722281190736382006-01-31T09:44:00.000-06:002006-01-31T09:44:00.000-06:00Well, it does look like it could make an interesti...Well, it does look like it could make an interesting planter!

There's a loveseat on the trail we like to walk when we're on our way to the bay.
