I've thought of them as undercuts, mainly the products of erosion. We have them both on roadside, just beneath gullies, and along the banks of creeks.<BR/><BR/>And I've noticed that there are a lot of wrens that flit in and out of these places, too.<BR/><BR/>I suspect they may be used as runs by animals.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
