Musical message

A Little Less Conversation (Elvis Presley):
Come on, come on, don’t procrastinate...
Girl it’s getting late

Taxman (George Harrison):
Be thankful I don't take it all

Fly Like An Eagle (The Steve Miller Band):
Time keeps on slipping (slipping slipping) into the future

Whistle While You Work (The Seven Dwarves):
When there's too much to do, don't let it bother you

  1. Don't tell me you put off doing your taxes to the last day? (she says while madly looking around for a calculator, a pencil with a good eraser, some stamps...)

  2. For once we got ours done early -- first week in February! Highly unusual for us as we are the king and queen of procrastination.

Of course, there's the following Beatles' song (am I the only one in the world old enough to remember this?)

Now my advice for those who die, (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman)
    'Cause I’m the taxman,
    Yeah, I’m the taxman.

  4. Hick, actually I finished last night. :) But had to take my IRA check to the financial planner and keep obsessively checking on the e-file status today.

S4M, remind me next year how good that felt, ok?

Anonymous - I think we both need our memories examined!

I was thinking it was a George Harrison song, and although he did write it, it's actually a Beatles song, as you said. But those lyrics are also from the same song as #2 above, so you probably need memory help too LOL.

I was not cool enough at age 6 to be listening to Revolver - I know it from one of GH's later albums.

  6. Got notice that both of our e-files were accepted. Yay! Now, remind me to do this earlier next year please. Especially if we are due a refund. Duh.
