It's valuable viewing the various stages side-by-side. Trumpet creeper I'd recognize anywhere but there are so many plants and flowers I know only at one or two stages.
What a coinkydink! I posted today's photos and clicked on your link to begin my blog rounds and it seems we had the same plant in mind today. Beautiful progression shots.
I grew up with Trumpet Vines around the house in Kansas but don't see them as much here in Ontario. I had not seen, or remembered, the pods before. I too like progressions and try to be aware of what plants look like when they first come up and also what they look like midwinter if I can find them.
Glad you are feeling better and glad you found the snake photos. I have been wanting a good copperhead photo for a painting that I am working on and the one you put up is the best I've seen in a long time.
That's a lovely progression. I really like the trumpet vine foliage. It's so lush.
ReplyDeleteYummy! It's amazing how lush and waterfull everything back East looks to me this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI hope this means you're feeling better.
I had a lot of trouble with those snakes...they gave me the creeps, so I didn't comment...what a baby I am.
ReplyDeleteBut these are beautiful. California is so dry and tired looking in August. You make me jealous.

ReplyDeleteYou can hear them blaring in the bloom picture. and perhaps hear an orchestra warming up in the images before.

ReplyDeleteThanks y'all. Yep I'm feeling better. :)
ReplyDeleteRon & Hick, everything here is green green green. We've had no shortage of rain.
Laura I know what you mean. I'm getting better at some of the springtime ones. It's the heat of the summer flowers I've not been out to visit much.
Charles - I must've had the mute button on! :)
Jude, it's native here, but I don't know that I'd put it in a garden. I like it in the wild though.
FC, great minds... :)
DPR, yup, I hadn't thought about it but you're right.
Great pics as always! How are the chickens doing?
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThat plant is scarier looking than the snakes..

Thanks Rho. The chickens are great but haven't been doing anything newsworthy.
ReplyDeleteH&B2, no, it's a nice non-constricting vine!
OW, yeah it's great, too bad I wasn't the one who took it, LOL.
