That cat-shaped lump on the Catalpa tree is Dusty, who's a great climber. Unlike a lot of other cats I've known, she doesn't seem to mind coming down either.
I haven't checked out your blog since I politely pirated your wonderful shot of a frog contemplating the night. I love your pictures. I have a camera, but the results are akin to an illiterate with a pen. I need to come by more often.
Thanks y'all! My camera is slow so I'm always missing the shots that I want, but luckily this time Dusty paused and waited on me.
Mark I'm glad you came by because I needed to see your cute frogs again!
FC the tree is in the right place, but unfortunately all of it leans out over the pond so unless we're feeling like climbing for worms... Well there are other Catalpas nearby. You know how some of them get eaten up by the worms, while others remain untouched? This one is always stripped in record time.
Fletch - I probably would have... if I'd thought of it! :)
One of our previous cats loved to climb too, but coming DOWN was a different story. He'd stay way up in a tree for hours, meowing for us to come get him. I'd fret and moan, but hubby always asked me how many cat skeletons I'd ever seen in a tree... ;)
This picture is simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is one very impressive picture.
ReplyDeleteThat would make a great poster.

Great shot, Rurality! Beautiful sunset and a fantastic reflection of the sky.
ReplyDeletei LOVE it!

ReplyDeleteGreat picture! Our cat can come down trees fast. She turns around and comes down backwards!
ReplyDeleteStunning shot. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteJasmine could climb that tree if she wanted to...she just doesn't.
ReplyDeleteA catalpa tree planted next to a pond...sounds like a natural fish feeder. Those catalpa worms are supposed to be super bream bait.
Great shot. Thanks for not titling this post The "Cat"alpa Tree.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog - love it.
ReplyDeleteWill be calling back from time to time.
Best wishes from the UK
wonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteBirds gotta mime,
ReplyDeleteCats gotta climb!
Ours like the high places too.

Very nice photo Rurality. So nice I won't even say what I think about cats outside.
ReplyDeleteAnd your husband beat me to the comment about cat skeletons
Beautiful photograph! Excellent color and dandy place for a cat to rest. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteClare I know what you mean - but they are not outside all the time. They do love going for walks with us!
ReplyDeleteVicki thanks!
