Beaker and TV

Beaker has become pretty excited about television lately. Particularly about trying to out-voice it. If the TV's on, you can throw that "parakeets aren't loud birds" business out the window. It's a new habit, and I'm not sure what brought it on. Maybe he thinks we should read more.

  1. Beaker is beautiful! I have a quaker parrot...and sometimes she gets in the mood to outvoice EVERYTHING!

  2. Well, from what I've seen on TV lately, I can tell you what has brought Beaker's mood on....he's saying "turn that s**t off, those people on there are idiots!" HAAA! Just kidding! sorta... LOL!

  3. Beaker's gorgeous ... although I admit I thought this was going to be about the Muppet Show.
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker were a favorite of mine.

  4. Kerri, I had originally wanted a much larger bird. But I'm so glad we got our little Beaker!

Annie, you could be right! But the last time he did it, we were just watching Venus & Serena Williams play tennis. Maybe Beaker doesn't like sports.

FC, I like tham too, but the Swedish Chef is my favorite I think. :) Bork bork bork!

  5. Pretty Bird!
Beaker's vocal attempts may be a lot easier listening than much of what I've heard on TV recently.

  6. I'm with the other commenters-Beaker knows that his voice is MUCH better than anything on TV! My old parakeet used to do the intro music for "A Current Affair", does Beaker imitate any TV noises?

  7. Echo, our 'keet, gets all in a froth when I watch "DeGrassi-The Next Generation" (a teen show from Canada...I am SO lame). When they do outdoor scenes with bird song, it's like that bird is going to lose his mind. Maybe Canadian birds are really, really hot?
