Comfortable sleeping positions

Cats have funny ideas about comfortable sleeping positions. Trouble is, I always wake them up, trying to take pictures.

I haven't managed to photograph my favorite yet. Sometimes I'll glance over towards the chair, and just see a paw (or two, or four) sticking straight up in the air.

Then I usually wake them up by laughing too loudly, before I can even get the camera.

  1. I took a picture of Thomas and Dog yesterday through the back door window. Thomas LOVES the shampoo I use to bathe Dog and can't get enough of her. She, does not like it at all~ but puts up with it :)

    Cute kitties :)

  3. I love it! What a shot! We have to hide from our cat to get good pics. Don't know what it is with animals and the camera....

  5. Cute and funny! Mine used to always wake up/stop whatever they're doing when I got the camera, but now they kinda ham it up. My childhood cat had to be snuck up on for pictures though, and I got one of her standing in a mud puddle with all 4 feet, drinking. When she heard the shutter, she jumped straight up into the air and ran like hell...it was hysterical.

  6. there is something ever so conforming about a cats body. I love it when the cat just flops on me and adheres.

Normally my cats would have their claws out playing at that point and I would have to say "girls"! LOL

  10. Sometimes I wish I still had cats in the house. They're wonderful models for the camera! If you think cats are difficult to photograph, try photographing to heading-turning Boston Terriers who refuse to pose next to each other, EVER!
