Oh my. You are making me wistful. When will spring come here? Tha calendar says it started almost a month ago, but I've seen neither hide nor hair. Love the fire pink. Wonder if I could grow that here in south central PA?

What great color. I keep looking at the silene and thinking that maybe I should grow them... do they have very good presence in general?
We were walking through our woods earlier today and I found a wonderful meadow rue. I'll be relocating it to the shade part of my garden soon. The woods is chock full of trillium and trout lilies right now, as well as spring beauty.
You have such gorgeous pictures! I found a fire pink in a very remote location last year and got so excited. You don't see them much here, even though they're native to our area.

Robin Andrea, it seems like the later in the spring, the brighter the colors of the flowers are.
Lime, the problem with the yellow flower is that there are a LOT of different ones that all look similar!

Blackswamp, since I don't technically have a flower garden, I can't really say... They do look gorgeous in the woods of course. Check the pics on the Dave's Garden site I mentioned above and it should give you a better idea of the whole plant. I think I have another wider pic of the whole plant - I'll try to find it and post later in the week.
Kylee, trout liles are one thing I can't seem to find here on our property. Very aggravating since some of the conditions seem ideal. I'll have to plant some when we make an actual garden!

Aren't wild turkeys wild? All ungainly and silly wandering about the yard. We have an egret here who regularly sits on the car roof to relieve himself.

I named it for Jasmine the lovely pup, not the flower.
And if it's only a fraction in reality of what it looks like in your photos, I'd be quite satisfied.

I am just passing by to thank you for your nice comment on my pottery balls. I am glad you liked them. Oh they are so pretty. So far all we really have are Crocusses (spelling?), and the Daffs are starting to come a bit. I am just so envious. I can't wait for all our flowers to start really coming on.
