Oxeye Daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare.
Pink Phlox, Phlox carolina.

Why does Susan's Coral honeysuckle bloom so much earlier than mine? (By a good two months).

I bought some "native honeysuckle" and it's been blooming for a while. I'm not so sure of it's nativity though... It's pink. What do you think?
Beautiful photographer. Our rhodies bloomed this weekend; they were gorgeous! I wish I had as much diversity in my plants as you do.
Wonderful shots of the flowers. Our Oxeye Daisies won't bloom until much later, but the others you photographed are blooming here as well.
I noticed the wildflowers on my drive down the Columbia Gorge over mothers day. Lupines especially.
It would be fun to come be introduced to your variety.
I love the shot of the Blue-eyed grass! We had honeysuckle, but tore it all done when it took over the pump house. It was beautiful to look at, but just so aggressive where we live. I've planted clematis in its place :D
Beautiful piccies
Are you trying to say that warblers aren't the only colourful creatures in the woods in May?
SCANDAL!!
The Blue-eyed Grass has to be my favorite little flower!
some nice macro shots here.
some cool macro shots..
Thanks everybody!
KF, what they usually call "native honeysuckle" is actually native azaleas. Or is yours a vine? If so then I have no clue...
Thanks Anne-Marie. I wish I had those rhodies! Not very acidic soil here though.
NCMW, you know I think ours are blooming earlier than normal this year.
Pamela, oh lupines are lovely! We don't have those here.
Egassner, yeah I need to tackle some of our honeysuckle too. It's hard to get rid of!
Sarah, thanks!
Jochen, ha, they won't hold still for portraits, alas.
Tom, I love it too -- it comes back even if you mow it down LOL.
Haley, thanks!
