Early snow

Nothing like a little snow, to bring one out of a blog slump.

Every channel forecast snow, but I didn't pay much attention to their percentage predictions. My belief that it would actually snow, in Alabama, in early December, was exactly 0%.

But it did snow, a little.

Jasmine romped. She adores cold weather.

The chickens were wary. It might have been some evil plot, after all.

I don't remember the trees ever looking so nice, after such a light snow.

I hope the rosemary didn't get too frizzen.

Feels like a thaw to me! Like the sun is shining again after clouds for too long!

Our snow started melting as soon as the sun came out. Just enough time to run out and get some pictures, and let the little one play for a bit. There are still a few patches of snow in shady areas but it is otherwise gone. :)

Love Jasmine's snow nose. Maya has been extra frisky today, too!

SNOW!! Lucky you. We have snow to our west tonight, but it will never make it over to us -- just lots of cold rain here :(
And welcome back! I was just thinking about you yesterday and here you are today.

Thanks you all so much for still speaking to me after such a long absence! It really wasn't intentional, it just sort of happened.

Our snow disappeared very quickly too. I think it had started melting by the time we woke up, really.

It pays to be wary when you are a chicken.

That pic of Jasmine was worth the wait!

Glad you have reappeared.

it was just a slight powder -- like sugar -- this morning at our house

I have missed y'all! Well I see Annie fairly often, but not the rest of you. :) Glad to know I'm still a BCB.

Hardly seems fair. Snow in Alabama and none in my part of Ontario, Canada. Sigh!

Brrrr! Welcome back. I am just south of B'ham but we got nothing. Not a bit. I did see a good amount of flurries when I took the dog out at 1AM, though. I would just as soon it stay away. Had my fair share of snow growing up in the north and it is not what I moved south for. Haha!

hi! missed you.

how did it snow SOUTH of me. this seems strange.

should i be worried that i have fear of plots in common with chickens? they are so usually right, after all...

Thanks y'all. Every last bit of that snow was gone by the afternoon.

Tadaaaaa!
She's back.

And with beautiful pictures, too.

Welcome, you've been missed.

We didn't get any on our side of the state. I've heard there will be more snow than usual this year. It has been a while since we've had a really big one.

Happy to see the snow pictures. We haven't had any yet. Son just moved back to Nebraska after a year here and they had over a foot of snow the first of the week. brrrr

We just got snow. This is late for us to get first real snow. We had a little last month but it vanished quickly. This snow was only supposed to be a couple of inches but we got 14" between yesterday and today. It bogs down our construction schedule. I'm never quite ready to let go of the fall. The seasons still change though...

I love it! At least the critters all had fun with it too, and it looks so pretty (sure, I have lots of it myself all winter but it never gets old! *~<]:-) Sooo glad you're back, BTW! I have been rather "MIA" from blogging myself lately, but I would be upset if I couldn't replenish my soap! Oh, and I enjoy your posts, too! :)
