Wasn't this the stream you posted flood pictures of some months back?
I suppose even if Katrina bypasses you, plenty of water will fall out of the sky in your neighborhood. Might make for interesting photos, though I'm sure everyone would rather know that you were safe and dry even if it meant missing some good pix.
Karen, what's the name of your creek? And is that Microstegium I see growing along the sides? :-)
I haven't talked to my relatives in Montgomery and Birmingham yet, but it certainly looks like those most intense rain bands went through there. How is the rain and wind situation there?

ReplyDeleteSeriously, I think you might be the only person I 'know' that is in the hurricane path. Keep you boots handy, I'm thinking of you...
The picture of the creek in mid-April is beautiful. Do you have any idea how badly you're going to get hit by the hurricane?
ReplyDeleteI'll keep you in my thoughts.
Fingers crossed re: the storm, for you and family including feathered members.
ReplyDeleteThat pleural mesothelioma comment is spam too, and I'm in the mood to wish plural mesotheliomas on the spammer.
Your creek is bigger than mine! I'm jealous! After tomorrow though, we may both be waterlogged!
ReplyDeleteHope you are fine there. Thinking of you and wishing you the best.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great creek. How wide is it now? Are you and yours okay? How does Jasmine like rain and water in general. I miss her.
ReplyDeleteTake care. Cathie
