Well in the interest of marital harmony, I'm no longer a night person. Both of us get up before dawn! I even make hubby a lunch, so I think that qualifies me as pretty darn domestic.
I think the top of that fence is about a yard high, or about a meter high. (Not sure if frogs are on the metric system yet.)
He wasn't actually stuck! When hubby moved his hand towards him, he jumped down. He sure didn't mind having his picture taken though.
I wasn't sure that the camera would even focus on him, it was so dark. But the headlights from hubby's car helped I guess.
The chickens are all locked down in the coop at night, so they were safe. He could definitely have made a light snack out of the little one if given the opportunity.
Living in rural north central Alabama. Currently overstocked with pets and poultry. Having lived in several small towns and larger cities, country life is taking some getting used to.
The photo is of Jasmine, fearless protector of the homestead from coyotes, bobcats, deer, herons, airplanes, butterflies and fuzzy little bunnies.

That's pretty funny. But who the heck is up before dawn?
Oh, WONDERFUL! I love bullfrogs, especially the bold & curious ones!
That is really a great shot. What a predicament he was in. How high did he jump to get there?
I'm so glad you have a digital camera. What a moment to commit to megapixels!
How do you get these pictures? The only thing I find outside in the pre-dawn hours is the trash strewn around by the raccoons.
Did you free the little guy?
He wasn't after your baby chicks was he? I've read accounts of them eating baby ducks...
Ohhhh... he's a beauty! Hope he got away okay.
Just recently found your blog. Absolutely LOVE it!
Great photo! What a story it could illustrate -- escape from the pond -- foiled again :-)

BF: No, honey, I'm telling you, I'm fine. I MEANT to do this. Aw crap, here's comes whatsername with the camera.
Wife: You're on your own. I'm outta here...
